Are the days of novelty baseball caps over?

doctornovocalcords [Edit] [Delete] 13:31, 4 June '09

Back in the day, at least in Shropshire, summers were made infinitely more amusing by people (admittedly mainly children) roaming the streets in novelty caps. I'm thinking the ones with fake bird poo on them (haha), the ones which you could stick a can of lager on the side of with accompanying slogan and the ones with a big pair of clapping hands. Outside of the odd appearance in marathons, I don't ever see these around any more. Surely due a revival. Why are clothes so stupidly serious these days? I suppose there are those hilarious slogan T-shirts (IPood!) but nobody other than tourists ever actually buys/wears them.
