its the first shake up since 1978 and it means that all those struggling artists who aren't on majors will get to compete in the 'charts' just like in the 'old' 'days' of indie labels when 'Christ- The Album' by Crass was No.1 for 87 weeks - funny though but I get the feeling it won't mean that a song on DogTurd Records will get a chance based on sales and feature alongside bigger 'indie' acts - instead it be a new 'channel' for for loads of posh-boy bands on major subsids and an ace rebranding opportunity to find ways of marketing failed X Factor contenders as the new Sebadoh.
