jobless days are these....but jobless days played out under cloudless skies.

so i get excited and get van the man on the i-pod......i pick my garden spot...nice and middle class so the views are good and the lawn is kept....a few pillows set against the bricked seating area...head sensibly tucked in from the sun....arm and leg snoozing in the glare....i look to the sky and the apollo missions rush through my mind....literally nothing between me and eternity here on this lawn looking up...

my big bear of a dog comes over to say hello....give her a little brush....'alrite kiddo'

and this is....this is it in't it?....thoughts of life and girls and stuff rushing through my head....everything might just be ok y'know....life can be in cinemascope again.....the mornings aches and pains dissolve into the ether...

and then van sings the perfect song........

and the dog squats a gush an arms length from my carefree face....the piss spits and spots and piddles and dribbles towards my oasis....

she struts back to the shade....moment broken....ammonia swinging with the breeze........so long summer....nice to meet you....so nice it was.
