can you get internet without having a fucking BT phone line? Just the phone point, no already existing active phone line.

I'm looking for less than 12 month contract deals and they all need a BT phone line it seems. It even says that virgin media need one but I dont have one in my house and it's virgin so the fuck is that all about??
