Volunteering for political parties

nymeria [Edit] [Delete] 14:14, 10 July '09

I'm guessing quite a few people here have done this before. Do there tend to be opportunities for admin-ish kind of stuff? I'd be bad at the general campaigning stuff I'm sure. But I want to be doing something with my time and I don't really feel too comfortable with charities, and museums / history type places tend to give stuff to students, which is reasonable really. Do parties generally want people, or do so many volunteer that it's just a hassle with people asking?

In (not really) other news, I'm finally a Labour party member. Yay! I feel kind of ashamed that I haven't been up until now. Very ashamed. And I've basically made it irrelevant by ticking the Young Labour box because it looked cheap. I don't even really know what it is, but it's better than nothing probably. I'd pay more if I had an income, obviously. I would ask "anyone else?" but it'll be twenty-five "I'm a Lib Dem member", sixteen "Greens!" and four "Conservatives" and I'll hate you all so whatevz. You can answer anyhow though.
