Short Excel question, which could possibly lead to the biggest Excel question ever

Judge_B [Edit] [Delete] 13:34, 31 July '09

Got a table, sorted by each individuals number of records. At the top of which is Mr X, who has 5. I've included a macro button which takes you to Mr X's 5 records. Fine. Below him is Mr Y, he has 4 records, press the button and WHAM! there they are.

Now, it might be that by the end of next month Mr Y moves on to having 6 records, compared to Mr X's 5 which remains still. I want to sort the table so that Mr Y appears above Mr X, however the macro buttons don't move with the person. In fact, the macro buttons kind of go where the hell they like.

Is there a way of sorting the macro buttons with the data, or attaching them to a cell so that they move with them when sorted?

This is the small question. If there is no way of doing it, or unless someone has a better way of doing things entirely, I don't want to have to ask the big question...
