crowd etiquette at gigs [moving through it - centric]

sarkyfox [Edit] [Delete] 15:20, 3 August '09

how do you conduct yourself when you move through a crowd at a gig/festival?

normally i move my way through, one hand in front, with a steady stream of 'sorry, sorry, scuse me, thanks, sorry, scuse me, sorry, sorry, scuse me, thanks'

am i unusual in this behaviour?

at Field Day on saturday at one point during Mogwai a line of about 8 people pushed past me, like really pushed, shoving me aside. as they went by, to the last one i said 'well, it would have been nice if you could have said excuse me'

she was like 'WHAT I DID'

i said 'well, no you didn't but ye know, go on ahead anyway' and made one of those swingy pointy go ahead movements with my arm, and she fucked off.

[LLB did then shout after her 'COME BACK AND SAY IT, YEAH! COME BACK AND SAY IT', as he was drunk, but it was funny.

was i wrong? was she wrong? what would you have done?
