Conversation with a Dublin cabbie / worst anecdote EVER - interface

ehwhat [Edit] [Delete] 11:54, 4 August '09

Yonks ago when I went to Dublin we were in a cab.

Cabbie was a genial sixtysomething Dubliner who said "Good on 'em" at the end of pretty much every sentence.

Anyway, he told me the following anecdote that with the dramatic pauses and stuff, went on for a good five minutes.

---

"Oh y'see a lot of stoff on de streeht o' Doblin..

Derre was diss one tiiime...I'll never forget...heh well

I was Drriiivin down diss very street...most ave binn round early afternoon...lonchtime...and...anyway...I'm gettin down to this southern paerrt o' de street and I look over and see diss fella

and...anyway...[makes a turn into a side road]...

so...Diss fella - what he had on his head...roight...he had like..these Plaahstic Ahntlorrs...loike ahntlorrs like on yer ReeeenDeeers.

So he's Wahlkin down the street wid dees Plahhstic Ahhntlers on..dunno if it was a Stahhg do ur somethin, but he was wearin dees Ahhntlers..

And He. Looked. STUPID.

----

That was it. - He really left me hanging..I was waiting for the end of the story but that was it. That WAS the anecdote.
