so we've had plumbers round who were going to replace the floorboards - we thought that the damp floorboards in our downstairs bathroom were a result of general damp / old house etc etc.

having taken up the floorboards they've discovered a crack in the toilet waste pipe that meant that raw sewage has been seeping into the foundations.

it's going to be about £5,000 if the insurance don't pay out. Plus mrs ccb and little isobel and i need to find somewhere to live for a few weeks.

please insurance, pay out, please insurance, pay out... etc etc.

i don't know why i'm posting it on here, maybe in the vain hope that one of you might work in insurance and have some comforting words for me!
