For residence purposes. Which is better? (I'm totally asking in exactly the right place.) These are the pros and cons I have so far:

Portland
+ cool city with stuff to do
- depressingly rainy

Austin
+ cool city with stuff to do
- stiflingly hot

Which is actually the cooler city with more stuff to do? Which is more bearable weather-wise? What are other pros and cons to which I am thus far ignorant?
