knowledge is just memory isn't it?......why do we value memory so much?

michael_w [Edit] [Delete] 22:24, 25 August '09

say someone doesn't know a fairly widely known, but not constantly shouted out, bit of general knowledge...like...i dunno...something geographical or historic

if they don't know you'd go....'omg...can't believe you don't know that'

but then...all they would have to do is type it in google...and then they would

why is that fact finding action valued?

or if just before they were asked the question.....they passed someone on the stairs who told them the answer

why is that odd concidence valued?

y'know?

half the things i've learned i've forgotten. does that mean everything i forget i become that little bit less intelligent?

what does it all mean?
