But after explaining our history as objectively as I could in an effort to find the root causes of my depression the councillor said simply said “This is evidently a very self serving, ruthlessly uncaring person…I don’t understand why you took this when the signs were there from day one?”

So basically, I’m a sucker for staying with this person for so long and apparently there are ‘good’ people and ‘bad’ people?

I’m not defending my ex, but I don’t know how this is going to help me move on and interact with people in the future if there are only good people, and nasty people.

I’m just going to be eyeing everyone suspiciously trying to figure them out…
