Does anyone else have trouble spending gift vouchers?

vamos [Edit] [Delete] 14:03, 4 September '09

I've had a £30 HMV gift voucher for months now.

I keep going in there and whereas once upon a time I would have left with any one of 1000 things, I have got no clue whatsoever on what to spend its entirety.

CD's seem pricey in there. The ones that aren't are either crap or in my collection already. DVD's tend to sit around my flat and clog up the place so I've limited myself to comedy and the odd TV show boxset. And I can't see any titles on the Wii I really want.

However I know that if I went in there without this voucher, I'd probably end up spending £30 rather easily on stuff. Does anyone else get stumped when forced with the pressure of disposing of these things?

A new CD and a film combo (eg. Arctic Monkeys & In the lop) seems like a waste of it's potential. Paying something on top of the voucher to make the sum up seems excessive (eg. Zelda or Wii Sports Resort). And buying a boxset could be risky (eg. Mad Men).

Or is this just me?
