Birmingham is england's second city right? Then why do I know nothing about it?

beautiful_balloon [Edit] [Delete] 09:45, 22 September '09

It seems to me like other major cities in England have a more significant impact on the cultural fabric the country than Birmingham

Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, Bristol, London, Newcastle

They all seem to be 'personality' cities that carry a lot of cultural weight and contribute towards people's perception of the nation.

But Birmingham? I grew up about 30 miles from there and I'd struggle to talk about it for more than twenty seconds. In fact I have pretty much zero connotations of Birmingham or anything or anyone from there. Even their football team is shitty

whose with me?
