This has never happened to me, my parents are too cool for this. I think this is predominantly mothers who instigate this for teenage/twenty something year old women or needy, mollycoddled wet blanket males.

Whatever the circumstances, it seems to have a 100% fail rate... the date is awkward and awful, and just embarrasing for all concerned.

No one's mother has ever set me up... and I've never been set up. But have YOU? Or your friends? What happened?
