If the Rules of Death ceased to apply,

poptimusgrime [Edit] [Delete] 00:53, 1 October '09

like in the films and TV shows (or, specifically, that episode of Family Guy I've just watched on BBC3, in which Death twists his ankle and can't go about killing people), surely the Rules of Pain would still work?

For example, if you took full advantage of the lack of Death and jumped off a building to get the full plummeting experience, when you hit the ground all your bones would probably still shatter into thousands of pieces, leaving you in a heap of unimaginable pain.

Or if you picked a fight with some gangsters who started unloading their guns into you, you'd still feel the full-on pain of a fuckload of bullets ripping into your skin and you'd still bleed and bleed and bleed.

You just wouldn't die. At least, not until Death came back and relieved you from the horror. I think being in unending pain would be worse than death. I'd also like to see this develop in more TV shows, please.
