pensions (boring adultcentric)

ThingsThatFly [Edit] [Delete] 17:07, 6 October '09

where better to seek pensions adivce than the general discussion section of a music forum.

Just had a look at the pension thing for my new job, its 10% which amounts to a massive chunk of money, especially seeings as i'll be paying £200 a month to my career development loan until 2014, dont think I could afford it on top of rent somewhere half decent. im thinking of opting out, I'm hoping i'll only be there a year or so anyway and it will be a stepping stone to the govenment job I want (where I wouldnt have to worry about pensions).

Basically what I want from this thread is to be told opting out of a pension is sensible and not at all irresponsible. Anyone know about this kinda stuff?
