some stipulations:

nothing too fancy in terms of ingrediants or preparation
cheaper the better
there can be no ovens or microwaves involved. i only have two hobs.
healthy ideas would be good.

i'm a bit lost without an oven, and bored of soup and pasta, so be a decent lot and give me some ideas of what to cook....no matter how obvious. you're talking to a cooking layman.
