Just read this and found myself nodding along, agreeing with it all.

Then I thought to myself: 'Fair enough, but expand this to include the world as a whole, and doesn't it end up painting me as the bad man?'

Even though it'd be quite easy to get get all worked up about the indignity of it all, it seems like it's equally easy to end up feeling as if you're taking a contradictory position. There's always someone worse off etc. And so the listlessness sets in...
