A thoroughly good book, I thought. I suppose I'd been expecting it to be a lot more trashy and throwaway, but it was generally really well written.

Occasionally it lost me and, thanks to the use of British spelling, I realised that a 'rain check' is actually a 'rain cheque' rather than a simple check on the rain situation.

I like finding really old reviews like that, though it would have been nice if it could have been a little longer.
