Tuesday Football Thread

DanielKelly [Edit] [Delete] 08:38, 10 November '09

You know, in our haste to berate the Didier Drogbas and Darren Fletchers of the world, we sometimes forget that younger, less established footballers are just as capable of being vile, cheating bastards. Peter Walton must feel like a very, very silly boy this morning. There are some 'bad' decisions where you can see the ref's perspective. How he didn't immediately book N'Gog I'll never understand...

Anyway, Liverpool salvage a point under controversial circumstances, going a goal up and then recovering from a goal down against Birmingham. Jerome's strike was pretty WOW.

Only other results I know are that Barnsley drew 2-2 with someone in the Championship and that Millwall tonked a 'valiant' AFC Wimbledon 4-1 in the first round of the FA Cup.

Other stories doing the rounds are that the FA won't take further action against Fergie, they've told Wayne Rooney off for being a plum but have neglected to mention Evans' disgusting fly-kick. Benitez is again the focus of many stories and Robinho and Ribery are both supposedly on the move, AGAIN.
