So this was on the news this morning. The Home Office want to keep the DNA of people who are arrested but found innocent for 6 years. Some human rights groups have a problem with this and I'm not really sure I understand why. Why does it matter if the government keep your DNA on file? Surely it is a good thing that the police could solve a crime from linking up DNA evidence, no?
