- don't speed up and walk too slowly clogging up the pavement resulting everyone behind them getting unnecessarily wet

- stand in shop/shopping centre/library doorways in huddles meaning that you've got to shove them out of the way to get passed them into the dry

- use umbrellas and still walk under what little shelter there is bumping everyone else out of the way into the rain
