How not to sound like a twot?... but employable?

Is this acceptable?

I am a keen, enthusiastic and sociable person with an active interest in the arts and culture. Specifically, aside from my deep interest in theatre and performance I enjoy visiting galleries and museums and arthouse/indie cinema. I am a great fan of alternative music, particularly the Smiths and almost any band that ever jangled a guitar in Scotland. As often as I can, and as often as the acts can interest me, I enjoy attending live gigs, and also play the guitar to a passable standard to my own ears. I greatly admire the work of George Orwell, and half-heartedly follow football, because the players are all so dislikeable and earn far too much. I love the beach, butterfly pins, chilli hot chocolate, pineapple on pizza, the Super Nintendo and all other atypical rudimentary pleasures.
