I know it's the end of a decade and thus the impetus to make all sorts of lists is going to be even stronger than normal, but if you think about it this is kinda one of the last areas where people are actively seeking out / waiting on the opinion of writers / mags and websites.

If music journalism's either waning, or more likely turning quickly into some weird amorphous unsure-of-itself squidgy phase then these lists must be like an annual pizza-party / bouncy castle custard orgy with free meth.
