Noooooooooooooooooo!!!

My xbox started freezing up yesterday (after I put in the Rockband game I won in the Pearl Jam competition on here!). There was a corrupted file in the memory which I deleted but that didn't seem to fix it, it carried on freezing.

Now it's just giving me the dreaded red ring and won't do anything. Anyone got any tips for fixing it or any ideas what might have caused it? What do you even have to do when this happens? Do I need to ring microsoft or something?
