Sleep paralysis

the_amwel [Edit] [Delete] 12:29, 26 December '09

Let's have a non-christmas thread.

Has anyone ever suffered from this? I had it for about the third time ever a few nights ago after having very little sleep for the previous few nights. I woke up and couldn't move a muscle, it was difficult to breathe and it felt like someone was pushing their knees really hard into my back (I was lying on my side). After what felt like minutes (but was probably about 30 seconds) I was fine again and everything moved but it was genuinely pretty terrifying.

Having done some reading about it on the internets it seems that some people who suffer from it also have terrible hallucinations of people/monsters/aliens/demons in their room and sometimes sitting on their chest or strangling them. Crazy.

So DiSers, tell me your stories.
