Does anyone understand what actually happens in this?

I mean, it's got this whole all-American high school girl mystery schtick thing going on, but at the same time it's ever so slightly inappropriate, in terms of content, for the market it seems to be aiming at.

Oh, then now and again it just goes bizarre and they have little Hunter S Thompson-lite interludes and on top of this there's this sporadic vast overarching conspiracy story arc that flitters in and out a la X Files.

Still, Kristen Bell is nice to look at.

In other news, I 'get' Gilmore Girls at last now. Rory's love interest was reading Punk Planet in the one I just watched.
