Cultural figures you both admire and detest.

Spike Lee is probably my main love/hate figure. On the one hand, he made Do The Right Thing, X and Jungle Fever. On the other, he seems like an absolute dickhead who sees racism in everything, from bad reviews of his work to basketball players. Fucking basketball players. And he had a dig at Eastwood for not having black characters in his WW2 films FOOF & LFIJ. Historical accuracy should be thrown out in favour of blatant tokenism, was the gist of Lee's argument.

But he is unquestionably a very important figure (or was at one point). Plus, When The Levees Broke is a great doc.
