Autism and you

Stiive [Edit] [Delete] 12:34, 18 January '10

I have two autistic half-sisters. The eldest, 13, has the mind of a three-year-old, but could talk for Britain. The younger one, 10, is still practically a toddler, but can work YouTube no problem on the family computer, which I find truly remarkable.

Anyway, I realised that quite a lot of my friends have autistic siblings, too, and their autism is apparent in different ways. Is it more common than you'd expect?

I think everyone has some form of mild autistic tendency. I know I certainly do. I have the same routine for getting dressed in the morning and if it gets broken, I get annoyed.

What are your experiences of autism?
