reminded me about the guy i saw on the train last night. a perfect "just came back from a year's travelling in south america" cliché. to summarise:

- leather-ish porkpie hat with sunglasses perched on top of them;
- a scraggly half-beard;
- a ché guevara t-shirt worn over the top of a thin roll-neck sweater;
- beads;
- an earnest expression;
- standing up in the entrance-bit of the train, nodding along earnestly to whatever he was listening to.

upon leaving the train, another passenger commented on his gigantic beaten-up rucksack. turned out he had actually spent a year travelling in south america.

an honourable mention as well to the guys on the train earlier this week with BMXs, who must have been older than me.
