I don't get it, since when have footballers needed to be exemplary role models of family life?

They get too rich, too young with no proper guidance, have woman hurling themselves at them from all directions and basically haven't got much of a chance.
Obviously cheating on your partner is horrible, but does it REALLY affect his ability to captain the England team?
