Music Social More…

hey guys....here's a quick story for you...

michael_w [Edit] [Delete] 12:44, 5 February '10

so i'm back at le university..

it's some sort of post-grad get together thing....drinks and food and whatnot...

anyway...there is a really nice phd student doing the rounds...asking people about their courses etc...

she gets to us and we start chewing the fat....'what do you do?..etc etc'

anyway...it was all fine...she was super nice...i hadn't eaten all day and the boozo was getting to me slightly, but i wasn't saying anything too idiotic

UNTIL

she mentioned what she did her masters thesis on

'a comparison of james joyce and henry james..'

well....GUESS WHAT I STARTED GOING ON ABOUT

http://drownedinsound.com/community/boards/social/4229453

yup.

i literally started talking shit for a solid five minutes. i didn't even talk about how beautiful they were deep down...i was just talking about poo. to this girl. who studied joyce. who said intelligent things about ulysses. when i can't even read ulysses. me. just talking about how he wanted to hug his wife as she did a shit. reducing the mans work to a few fecal missives.

she didn't seem that impressed

FML.
