Anyone here got any experience of running marathons? Especially at short notice. I've got a very poorly relative in hospital and so have decided to run to raise funds for the cause. It's 12 weeks away, never run one before. Obviously I'm not expecting to win (though I will do a lap of honour if I finish first) but everywhere keeps telling me it's not enough prep time.
I'm relatively fit as I don't drink.
Help and advice anyone?
