Some friends came down to London and asked to go out for a nice posh lunch at that Argentinian Steak restaurant which made the quarter / semi-finals on The F Word, Santa Maria del Sur in Battersea.

Not one for eating out at ultra-expensive places myself but it was mighty fine.

We all had our own cuts of steak (mine was a glorious and huge medium-rare fillet that sizzled on the tongue and got tastier with every mouthful) alongside shared chips, some Argentinian veggie pasties, chili butter beans and rocket salad.

We also shared a nice bottle of red wine, mint tea, coffees and had a dessert (mine was a rather rad whisky ice cream combo).

The bill came to £35, which is excessive as my usual meals out go but for what we got over the two hours totally worth it.

Heartily recommend a trip. It's a short bus ride from Vauxhall.
