My other housemate was making a cup of tea and pointed out the egg in the kettle. I assumed it was some sort of disgusting practical joke from when everyone got back from "Sankys" last night.
Then he walks in and says "oh that's mine" and takes it to peel off the shell.

Obviously this must stop. Just wretching a bit about how many eggy teas I must have consumed in the past few months.
