I seem to have run into a bit of a problem and I wondered if anyone had any advice

Recently decided to change my band's name. The previous incarnation of the band isn't too well-established, with 312 listeners on last.fm

Recorded a lot of new stuff and are wanting to come out with a fresh name, however its already taken on last.fm by a band who are barely functional - they only have 3 plays registered in the last 6 months.

But it seems last.fm only allows one band per name. Understandable, but it seems really shit as in real life my band and some guy's defunct band in America don't conflict in real life, but all plays we get would automatically go to his last'fm account

anyone had this problem or can think of a resolution? Should I contact him or change the name?
