...i know this may sound like a daft question, but i know of a couple of English guys who won't be supporting England, and i get the impression there may be a few on here also.

I can fully appreciate the annoyance with the sudden abundance of meatheads that populate the pubs and the high streets, especially after an unconvinving progression to the knock-out stages, and yes, the majority of the press are unbearable regardless of how we're playing, but surely there's a bottom line of pride in your nation's achievements, and an inherent willingness for the team to succeed, no?

I also get that the England team has its fair share of arseholes, but doesn't every team? The thing is, they're our arseholes, and thus we have to put up with them for the good of the team as a whole.
