Girls without hobbies

xylopwn [Edit] [Delete] 10:53, 18 March '10

Hello.

One thing that I have noticed in my travels across the UK, is that I know a lot of guys with hobbies. Yes, a lot of those come down to supporting/playing football or playing videogames, but they're still hobbies, and a great many more do Interesting Stuff.

In comparison - and ***please note that I know this is not the case with a lot of people, especially on this board*** - I've met a LOT of girls, proportionally, who don't have any sort of a release like that. They go out and drink, or they watch telly. It's annoying.

You could argue that watching football is just watching telly I know. But in a quick poll of people near me in the office, none out of the seven girls say they have a hobby, and every single guy does.

For me, women with hobbies are infinitely more attractive than those without - there's something about foccussed passion that I like, and I don't think I'm alone in that. A lot of guys I know say they don't feel a real connection when going on dates, and it's often because they want to share their passions and take on board what the female's are too, and be interested! If they're not there, there's less interest.

I really hope I've not come off as a patronising shit - my best girl mates all have hobbies, and that's perhaps in part why they're my best girl mates, in a roundabout way - but it seems to be a widespread issue. Am I right, or am I way off?
