That BBC2 Mongoose programme

Reckoning [Edit] [Delete] 15:11, 19 March '10

could be amazing, but just isn't. I'm not sure i like Dexter Fletcher's narration style, but i think the main problem is the ridiculous script/editing combo. See the following examples (paraphrased slightly):

1 'Banded mongoose families are the closest families in the world ever, they're always looking out for eachother...'
'For some reason XXX has left her pup out in the baking hot sun and buggered off to eat a massive beetle...'
'The pup has died. Scientists don't know why this happened.'

2. 'If a mongoose can't keep up during a hunt, it'll probably get left behind and may die'
'XXX is always being left behind during hunts because he's old and injured. Scientists think he doesn't really give a shit'.
