Does anyone else remember hearing a rumour circa the mid 90's that Neighbours was set to end with a Royal Australian Air Force exercise going badly wrong (right, surely?) and Ramsey Street getting carpet bombed.

The final scene was rumoured to be Bouncer bounding out from the rubble as the sole survivor.

Maybe that was just a Surrey thing.
