I fear that's a big fragile (King, Ferdinand) and slow up front but not sure there's much better. Especially at the back. I fear Defoe is so out of form he's a waste of space but who knows...

We're strong in central midfield aren't we? Even with Barry and Hargreaves out, we have Milner, Lampard, Gerrard, Parker and Carrick all to fall back on with other youthful hopes like Huddlestone and O'Hara in the wings.

We're fucked up front though. I'd ask Rooney who he wants to play alongside and whoever that is, stick them in.

Walcott would make my squad too due to the sheer lack of pace we have on the wing. Downing wouldn't.
