What do you do when you visit your parents' home/s? Do you like visiting them?

I'm at my mom's. It's 3AM and everything's weird. Usually on parental visits, I fill up on good food and see my mom and sister and play with the pets, but the fridge and cupboards are oddly bereft of nice foodstuffs, and I haven't seen anyone yet, and I can't find my cat that is like *my* cat. Everything's too odd for me to settle down to sleep.
