Overwhelming urge to go into a shop and say 'Excuse me, do you accept pound coins?'

beautiful_balloon [Edit] [Delete] 12:13, 25 May '10

After yesterday a lady in Pret A Manger examined the £2 coin I gave her with a really puzzled look on her face before reluctantly sliding it into the till.

When I was 15 or so my friends and I would know the exact combination of confectionery that would cost 69p in my local newsagents. Then, when the woman said '69 love' we'd try to stifle a laugh and reply 'er, just the chocolate thanks'

Do you do anything to brighten up shopping experiences?
