The usual pressures have been heaped on as I have a bunch of people from Uni coming to see me for One Night Only on Saturday, and now I have to find the only venue they won't be able to complain about. The last two times they've visited we've realised that Camden isn't fun anymore and that no-one in Soho will sell you a beer past midnight unless you pay an entrance fee for a terrible dance/R&B bar. So, this time I'd like to find a really good venue.
Usually I'd have said Slim Jims in Islington, but I think that might be a bit sedate. I really need a indie/rock bar or club with a decent mix of music that doesn't sound like it should be on a T-Mobile advert. Any suggestions please? I'm in London Bridge, so most places shouldn't be difficult to get to...
