I live with this awful, awful person who moved in when we advertised a spare room. I won't go into why he's such a penis, but I've noticed that he's trying to live as basic and rough as possible.

For instance, he goes to the local One Stop and waits for them to throw their gone-off stuff in the bin, then raids it and brings it home to eat.

He dresses (and smells) like a tramp and likes to think he's some kind of cool street surfer. When he rides his bike, he wraps a scarf round his face to look like some kind of protester.

Yet he's absolutely minted. Went to a public school, has superrich parents. What's that about?

I'd definitely laugh if he fell down some stairs.
