Chris is Cool started a thread but (a) the title wasn't explanatory and (b) it's only got replies of people having a pop at him.

Anyway, this is weird stuff, isn't it. They said on the radio there's even a simulated Mars surface bit for that part of the mission. Surely by the end of it they'll be pretty pissed off that they went through all of that only to not have gone to Mars at all and they aren't likely to have the stomach for ANOTHER trip where they actually get there.

It would be pretty cool to put people on Mars, though.
