does anyone know any places in these three cities that might be up for hosting a ramshackle film screening and live music night of the type that gets put on in dingy underground basements and which less than 50 people tend to attend, but is by all accounts damned good?

i don't think independent cinemas would be the way to go on account of the above, and the fact that we couldn't pay to hire anywhere, it'd be more doing it for the event's sake and on good will (so actually squatted galleries and that sort of thing may be the way to go).
