Well gosh, I guess this is a big happy birthday to me!

Y'know, one minute you're 19 and you're drinking a beer and dreaming of hanging out with old Steve and the Georgester on the ranch making movies, the next thing you know you're in your 50s and you're drinking a beer. But I can't help but think, if all this were to change, if all this were to go away, and I was to be left as just me, just Tom Hanks, you know, none of the glitz, none of the adoration, I'd really miss my Oscars.

I hope y'all are gonna enjoy Toy Story 3. I think it's really Woody's best adventure yet. And you know, one of the fascinating things about the Woody character, aside from the way he's entered the hearts and minds of children - and adults - all across the world, is that deep down, we all have a bit of Woody in us. I think Woody is one of the best roles I've played, just because there's a lot of Woody in me, Tom Hanks.

So I'll wish me a happy birthday and maybe I'll go drink a beer and talk about Woody some more.
