Touts are the scum of the earth. but i have an idea...

jackberk [Edit] [Delete] 10:58, 17 July '10

at a gig recently i was thinking about how you could combat ticket touts. i wondered whether you could have some kind of endorsed kiosk just outside the venue that buys and sell at face value, but realised that no-one would do it. there's no profit, so the venue wouldn't be interested, and i'm pretty sure the ticket agencies are fairly complicit with touts, so they wouldn't do it.

SO, i thought: what about a charity? they could get permission from the council to set up outside a gig and undercut all the touts, with any profits going to the charity. if they take the business away from multiple touts, then they can operate at fairer rates. BINGO.

surely this would work. what do you think?
